Q: Why didn't I get the tickets that I ordered for the train ride?
A: All tickets on the Osceola & St. Croix Valley Railway are 'Will Call' only. When you arrive at the ticket window, give the agent your name to receive your Boarding Pass(es). The pass will be punched after you are seated and is a souvenir of your ride.

A: All tickets for the Jackson Street Roundhouse Museum are 'Will Call' only. When you arrive at the ticket window, give the agent your name.
Q: Is the train handicap accessible?
A: Passenger equipment on the Osceola & St. Croix Valley Railway was all built before any ADA legislation. We have a lift which accesses specific doors and once boarded, passengers who are able can move between cars. The doorways between cars are narrow and the passageways are uneven. Passengers in wheelchairs or scooters may be unable to move from the car onto which they are boarded.
Q: Are there restrooms on the train?
A: There are restrooms on the train in the concession car 265 and at least one other car. How many there are on the train will depend on what cars are used on any given day. There are no restrooms on the train at the Jackson Street Roundhouse.
Q:Are the restrooms accessible?
A:The only bathroom on the train that is accessible is in the concession car 265. Restrooms at the Osceola Depot are also accessible.
Q: Where do I park in Osceola?
A: There is plenty of parking next to and below the Depot in Osceola.
Q: How long is the train ride?
A: The Osceola, WI to Marine on St Croix, MN round trip is about 20 miles long round-trip, and about 90 minutes long. The Osceola, WI to Dresser, WI round trip is about 10 miles long round-trip and about 50 minutes long.
Q: How do I get back to Osceola from Marine?
A: All trips on the Osceola & St Croix Railway are round-trip, leaving from and returning to Osceola, WI.
Q: How do I get back to Osceola from Dresser?
A: All trips on the Osceola & St Croix Railway are round-trip, leaving from and returning to Osceola, WI.
Q: Can I get off the train in Marine to go shopping?
A: No. There is no place to get off at Marine on St Croix. The village of Marine is down a very steep hill and about half a mile from where the train stops.
Q: Can I get off the train in Dresser?
A: Yes, we encourage you to get off the train and grab an Ice cream treat and look around.
Q: How long is the Caboose ride?
A: The ride at the Jackson Street Roundhouse is about half a mile long and lasts about 15 minutes.
Q: I have a voucher leftover from last year, can I still use it?
A: Yes, if there is no expiration date on it. You will have to call our guest service manager at 651-500-1822 and she can set that up for you. Please bring the voucher or gift certificate with you, when you pick up your boarding passes.
Q: My child is allergic to everything. Can he eat with us if I bring food for him?
A: Passengers whose diet is so restrictive that the standard dietary pizza offerings are not acceptable, may bring their own food to eat with the family. They will still have to purchase a ticket.
Q: I can't use the tickets I have for the train ride, what do I do with them?
A: You may allow someone else to use them or you may reschedule your train ride or museum visit. To reschedule, please call the office at 651.228.0263.
Q: Do you have food for sale on the train?
A: We have bottled soft drinks, water and a variety of snacks in the train gift shop!
Q: Do you sell alcohol on the train?
A: Yes, Beer and Wine.
Q: Can I bring my own food on the train?
A: Yes, small coolers only. If you would like a train car with tables please leave a note in the comment section at check out.
Q: When does the train run?
A: The Osceola & St Croix Valley Railway season opens in May and runs weekends and selected Thursdays or Fridays through the Third weekend in October. The Jackson Street Roundhouse is open year-round with a short ride in the backyard on Saturdays. The two venues are not connected by train.
Q: Can I decorate the car for a birthday? (JSR)
A: Yes, you may, but pinatas and confetti are not allowed.
Q: Can I decorate the car for a birthday? (OSCVR)
A: Yes, you may, but only table decorations and balloons. No taping anything to the train cars.
Q: How do I book a birthday party at OSCVR?
A: You would call the guest service manager at 651-500-1822 and she will help you set up the birthday plans.
Q: If I have more birthday guests than 25, am I charged extra? (JSR)
A: Yes. Extra charges may be assessed through the ticket program if you do not offer to pay extra admissions after the party.
Q: I don't see any tickets/I saw on TV that you have a ride from St Paul to Osceola.
A: The two venues cannot be connected by train. You must travel to Osceola, WI, to board any train on the Osceola & St Croix Valley Railway.
